Truthfully, I am a child at heart and always will be!  I love to play and I feel imagination is one of the most important things you will ever use in life!
Through crafting, I have found a way to combine my creative and playful sides.  I have learned how to combine my passions for painting and drawing with my love of design, sewing, textiles and my self-admitted obsession with the 1950s…with lots of emotion and support, Elouart was born in late 2006.

Robin created Robin and Daughters Designs for her two Daughters.  She hopes they will continue with Robin and Daughters Designs as they grow and the company expands.  It is their future in many ways.

Robin and Daughters is sold internationally and can be found as far away as Scotland!

Robin received her degree in art history from the College of Charleston.  She is a Charlotte native and lives here with her British husband, two daughters, dog Leo, and cat Bue.

"Art is therapy for Mary Sydnor Digby. From coloring books to college, she has maintained her love affair with art through the creation of line, shape and color in all of her artistic endeavors. Whether abstract or driven by organic inspiration, Mary's work reflects her fascination with the phases in life from childhood and adolescence, through adulthood and old age. She has a particular affinity for flowers, both from nature and from her imagination.

'I enjoy drawing flowers for their personalities...flowers can be fun, funky and fabulous!'"

Mary received her art degree from St. Andrews College and lives in NoDa with her husband, Andy, and two beautiful mutts, Rothko and Jasper.

My love of crafts was one of the many gifts my mother passed on to me and in her honor I named the boutique for her (she would always say she was a "Real Betty" as opposed to a nickname) . The company logo is one of my favorite photographs that captures the panache of that "Real Betty". For more info : www.realbetty.com

Surround yourself with what you love…

I have always loved fabrics…  I remember the thrill of getting lost with my mother in the over stuffed and seemingly unending catacombs of tiny fabric stores in New York’s garment district.  We always found treasures that we would take home and make into something beautiful and all our own…

That treasure hunt is my inspiration.  Finding beautiful fabrics and creating unique accessories with them is my dream come true.  I hope you will find and treasure your own individual style in our distinctive line of handbags and accessories!

We love to hear from you kim@nestbags.com

Growing up in rural Ohio, I never dreamed that one day I’d be a working artist. And certainly never expected to be working in the NoDa community of Charlotte, NC!

After graduation in 2004, I moved to Charlotte and have been supporting myself as a career freelance graphic designer while I work toward my goal of becoming a full-time artist.

Susan Heckler grew up in Charlotte and attended college at The Maryland Institute, College of Art. She taught as an Elementary School Art Teacher for four years. Currently, she lives in North Carolina creating woodblock prints and carved, painted wood reliefs. Susan likes to carve wood because of the wonderful texture and permanence. Wood is nontoxic, hard to break, easy to store and it is not necessary to have anything complicated to carve it with.  There is a simple reason why Susan chooses the subject matter that she does. She likes nature as her subject matter and wants people to enjoy her artwork on their walls. Susan has only recently begun carving wood to create painted reliefs. For many years she has created woodblock prints.
